Natralight Transform Dublin Wetherspoons with Rooflights

Natralight were delighted to have one of our latest projects at the Silver Penny pub in Dublin city centre, featured in the latest edition of Wetherspoons News.

The installation of sliding rooflights is part of a $4 million development on the site of a former bank and chapel, in Abbey Street Lower. 

Originally opened in 1839, the elegant proportions of its classical facade and ornate stonework complement the adjacent former chapel, with its far simpler exterior.

The main bar on the ground floor serves an impressive two-storey space surrounded by a first-floor gallery. Natralight installed electrically operated retractable duo pitch sliding rooflights.

This area is the main hub of the interior with a second, more intimate bar is situated in an ornate former banqueting room upstairs. With high ceilings and period details, it also has a classically detailed entrance and marble fireplace.

A small external terrace connects the first-floor gallery via a glazed link building, the former chapel features our sliding rooflight to create a luxurious outdoor dining space.
