The Evolution of Curved Rooflights

If you are looking for an innovative way to introduce more natural light into your home, look no further than curved rooflights from Natralight.

Our curved range has a unique glazed surface which is ideal for design-conscious homeowners.

In this post, we will explore how curved rooflights are made, their advantages plus design applications which will appeal to many homeowners.

What Does a Curved Glass Rooflight Consist Of?

The curved glass top cover has a 6mm thick, scratch-free glazing pane with a glass-to-edge design which extends beyond the supporting frame. This means a larger area for daylight to seep into your room.

Our curved glass rooflights will not look out of place on your roof, no matter if it is covered in felt, rubber or EPDM. A black external coating is applied to the rooflight which offers a discreet, professional-looking finish which is guaranteed to match your chosen flat roof material.

The internal flat roof window is constructed with a highly-insulated kerb, constructed from PVC and an integrated 2-layer low-energy pane which ensures heat does not escape through the window.

Fixed or Electric Curved Rooflights?

The choice is yours, as Natralight offers a simple, non-opening form or the more innovative electronically operated format.

Both versions come equipped with an extremely low U-value of 1.2W/m²K. This allows for reduced energy consumption which will save you money on energy bills.

What are the Benefits of a Curved Skylight?

  • The curve-shaped edge-to-edge glass allows raindrops to easily run off
  • Insulating PVC frame and two-layer low-energy pane for increased energy efficiency
  • Compatible with a discreet heat protection awning blind for ideal indoor temperature
  • Suitable for 0-15 pitched roofs
  • Noise from the rain, hail or other exterior disturbances are reduced significantly because of the solid glass construction
  • Scratch-proof glazing surface which protects against damage from hail and ice pellets, extending the rooflights lifetime
  • Available in a number of sizes
